Drainable bags are designed to be drained whilst in use, they are often used for patients who have undergone an Ileostomy formation, where the output is slightly fluid. The Hide-away outlet was the first product to contain and intergral closure method, so need external hard clip is required.
Drainable bags can be used as either a One piece (Assura Inspire with Dual Filter), where the adhesive is permanently attached to the bag, and you will remove both each time the bag is changed or a two piece, where the adhesive and the bag are attached either by a lock ring (Assura Inspire 2 Piece) or adhesive coupling (Easiflex).
